Particulates present in the air due to poor indoor air quality can be inhaled into the lungs or into the mouth, throat or nose. Exposure to elevated concentrations can cause respiratory issues.

There is no required training, just follow our step by step instructions to collect samples. Mail back the samples and field sampling form with a prepaid mailer and AirMD laboratory scientists will analyze the samples. The AirMD team of certified consultants will write a detailed report identifying conditions and provide recommendations based on how to improve the indoor environment. A report will be sent via email within five business days after receipt of samples.

• Take the particulate sampling cartridge and remove the end attachments. Attach the cartridge to the vacuum cleaner. Areas for sampling include the carpets, rugs, and/or dust on the floor. Over each sampling location, move the cartridge forward and back and side to side ensuring the circular base of the cartridge remains flat against the floor surface regardless of floor type. Remove particulate sampling cartridge from the vacuum cleaner. Replace the end attachments. Place cartridge into pouch to be returned to AirMD for analysis.
